Cricut vinyl transfer tape too sticky.
I have studied and watch tutorials on the transfer tape.
I ve had it for about 6 weeks.
The transfer tape is so sticky that i cannot get the vinyl to separate from it.
Use a different tape that is not as sticky.
If your vinyl is not releasing from the transfer tape then your transfer tape may be too sticky.
I love how the cricut machine cuts card stock into great shapes but it s hard to peel card stock from the cricut explore mat when it s too sticky.
That is exactly what i didn t want to happen.
Vinyl cut weeded and ready to transfer.
If it s too sticky the vinyl will stay on the tape no matter what surface you are applying it to.
Cricut transfer tape is honestly too sticky for most adhesive vinyl.
Oracal makes a clear transfer tape that works very nicely.
Both types of transfer tape will work with textured metallic vinyl.
Now you have 3 options.
But cricut has changed their tape and now it is way too sticky to use.
I ve mainly used it for vinyl.
Another way to help this is to de stick your tape.
Stronggrip transfer tape is too strong for use with other vinyl types.
Just a few months ago i would ve given this transfer tape 5 stars.
It was the only brand that i would buy.
I only buy cricut brand vinyl and transfer tape.
This specially designed transfer tape is made for most vinyl types including premium vinyl patterned holographic holographic sparkle metallic matte metallic and many more.
It does not release the vinyl and has ruined many of my projects.
